Evanger's Volunteers to Help Pets In Need During Black Forest Fire in Colorado

Evanger's has joined forces with the independent pet store, Pet Empawrium and Spaw in Arvada, CO, as well as its husband-and-wife owned pet food distributor, Monarch Pet Supply out of Denver, Colorado to help hundreds displaced dogs whose families are victims of the Black Forest Fire in Colorado.  The Black Forest Fire is the worst fire Colorado has ever seen; almost 40,000 people had to evacuate their homes.   Currently, about 2,600 people still have not been able to return to their homes, and 500 homes have been destroyed.  Meanwhile, many pets were displaced and evacuated, and thanks to All Breed Pet and Rescue who worked day and night to take care of these animals during the crisis.

Evanger's representative, Peggy Lange, joined LoriLeigh Mooreland from Pet Empawrium & Spaw, and Jeff and Tracie Flora from Monarch Pet Supply as volunteers at All Breed Pet and Rescue.  Together, they hauled tons of food and supplies to pets in need on Monday, June 17th.  The food will be dispersed to 5 rescue groups and the humane society to help hundreds of dogs.

Some of these dogs were happily reunited with their families, meanwhile others have to stay until their homes are rebuilt, and some pups will have to find new homes.  Evanger's is so grateful to be able to contribute to the well-being of these pets in crisis.  All Breed Pet and Rescue appreciates any help or volunteers that can help until these pets and their families can safely return home.
