Next week is the Passover holiday, which means many families that observe Passover have a hard time finding food to feed their pets. Folks who observe the holiday must remove all foods that contain Chametz from their home, including their pet's food. Since 90% of Evanger's products are naturally grain free (which is important for the Passover holiday since Chametz is derived from grains), Evanger's was able to have many of its products certified Kosher for Passover by the Chicago Rabbinical Council. Evanger's is one of the only pet food manufacturers that offer Kosher for Passover products for pets, and hopes to make feeding your pets less of a challenge during the holiday. All ingredients can be found on the Evanger's website at http://www.evangersdogfood.com/. Evanger's Kosher products are available exclusively at neighborhood independent pet store boutiques.
Last year, Evanger's hosted a Doggie Seder in conjunction with Dog News Daily, and celebrity guests Edi Gathegi from the Twilight Series and "The Ward" actress Laura-Leigh stopped by! People Magazine's Pet News took footage of the event!
The following Evanger's products have been endorsed by the Chicago Rabbinical Council as acceptable for use by those who observe Jewish Law, and are free from any Chametz which makes them acceptable for pet consumption and use during the Passover holidays:
