The Story of Leon: Before and after Evangers
Meet Leon, the 13 year old black lab. Yesterday we received an amazing message about how Evangers dog food helped Leon recuperate and thrive after being a senior stray.Marian Carrick Jones writes,
Hello! I just wanted to let you know how Evanger's helped us with our recently adopted 13 yr old male black lab, Leon. Leon found himself as a stray in our local animal shelter, Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society. I saw his picture on FB and fell for him. He had at least three things going against him to be seen as adoptable by many people. He was old, big and black. We adopted him and brought home a very underweight, flea and tick infested old boy. Leon's ratty dull brown coat had numerous scaly bald spots. Our vet confirmed his age and said that our 86 pound lab should weigh closer to 100 pounds. We volunteer with the Greyhound Adoption League of Texas and have had some fosters that had some dietary issues. A friend, Mark Abrams, recommended Evangers for them and we've never looked back, that is what we feed all our hounds and foster greyhounds now. Leon was a diamond in the rough and now he is our treasure! These pictures are from when we pulled him from the shelter and then two months later, wow, what a transformation love and good nutrition has done for him. Thank you.

Leon Loves Belly Rubs |
Leon weighs 98 pounds today. He knew basic commands and was housebroken when we brought him home from the shelter. Seniors rock!! Leon loves his greyhound pack mates and three acres to patrol. His energy and endurance has increases so much it’s hard to believe that the is 13!!
Good thing Abrams was around to recommend.
